Kingman (Huwaalyapay Nyava in Mojave language is a city in and the county seat of Mohave County, Arizona County, Arizona, United States. According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 27,271. The nearby communities of Golden Valley, Arizona Valley and Butler, Arizona bring the Kingman area's total population to around 40,000. The city is a Request stop stop for twice daily Amtrak service (once eastbound and once westbound).In a new poll, 14% of people in Kingman, Arizona have a loved one in a retirement community focused on nursing care.Kingman has an arid desert climate, however its elevation tempers this somewhat.
